In Space Again

I keep returning to No Man’s Sky as nothing beats the sense of space travel and discovering new worlds. No Man’s Sky is about due a new update called Beyond and though much of what it will bring is being kept close to Hello Games’ chest, there is a lot of excitement among the ardent No Man’s Sky fans.

Unsure what this will mean for the game but I am hoping for new planet types and a way to upgrade your starships; even if it is to change the colour. I am also hoping for more base building components that can change the way existing bases look.

With space flight, planet flight, planet walks, underwater exploration, building bases, making components, upgrading tools and equipment, naming everything you find and meeting strange creatures, this game covers a lot… so more is great… :o)

A disk world and yes you can fly through the rings of dust.

Ygg’s Blade approaches my interstellar star frigate Resplendant Moment. This image shows that scale in space is difficult as my ship is much smaller than the blue lights you see on the frigates hull.

Long time gamer (Doom 1993 and Myst 1993 among the first PC games) I have never lost the interest or the desire to explore landscapes (Skyrim, Dying Light) and craft (Minecraft, No Man's Sky) my way through worlds of different kinds. Even build homes in these landscapes (Fallout 4, No Man's Sky). In recent years games and consoles have allowed players to take photos and video of their game play. This has allowed me to use these in game/console tricks to take photos of bizarre and strange new landscapes and share the wonderful with the world. Kind regards... AI
